Shake, Rattle & Roll – The Ultimate Pot Lid Solution
A long standing complaint that we have had when the RV is in motion is the constant rattling. One of the biggest culprits that we have is the lids to our pots and pans. Every time we start out there is always a rattle from the pot cabinet, Usually the problem can be solved by rearranging the lids slightly, but often it takes more than one try to determine which lid is the offender.
Recently during our visit to the Fredericksburg Trade Days, we saw silicon pot lids, I knew that there were other kitchen items made of silicon, but the idea of a pot lid was new to me. They come in various sizes and will seal on any container with a smooth lip, so they are good for refrigerated food, the microwave or the stove, Though we didn’t purchase them at the Trade Days, we did find them on Amazon. We purchased the Silicone Suction Lids and Food Covers – Set of 5 – Fits various sizes of cups, bowls, pans, or containers! The price was very reasonable and with the variety of sizes, they should replace all of the lids in our cabinet.
We haven’t used them to cook yet, but as you can see the seal is strong enough to pick up the pot and will stay attached when the pot is turned upside down, Not sure that the seal is strong enough to hold upside with liquid in the pot, but not planning to do that anyway. Also, if we have something that is very liquid in the refrigerator, I think we will stick to a more traditional plastic bowl with a lid just to prevent a possible mess. Another great feature is that they all stack together to keep them neat and easly to store.
All stacked together.

The seal is strong enough to lift the pot by the lid or flip the pot over.
We have some of these. Especially like the small one to put on the coffee mugs or glasses when sitting outside – keeps the bugs out of my drink!
