Thoughts:
Jellystone is a nice family-oriented park. The ground are kept very clean. We stayed in the back section, which is not the premium sites and we actually preferred it. It seemed that there was a little more space. The sites are gravel, so you might want an outdoor carpet (or as we use a large painter’s tarp) to soften the ground a bit. Our site had one tree, When we pulled in, we were just aware of the tree in relation to our slide. With kids, this is a great park because all of the entertainment is within the park. There is plenty of room to ride bikes and the park hosts a lot of activities. There is no parking except at your site, but the park does rent golf carts. We just walked. Wasn’t a long walk from our site to the playground or the waterpark. A major selling point about Jellystone for us is that it is approximately 45 minutes from our home. Even going after the kids get out of school, we can be there and set up before dark. There are a lot of kids there, so don’t be surprised when your kiddo has a new best friend!
What To Do Once You Get There
More than any other park we have visited, Jellystone is a self-contained entertainment complex for everyone in the family. The park has activities planned at various times all day on the weekends. There is a waterpark that features a lazy river, pool, a couple of large water slides and a splash pad. Too cold to swim, there are nightly movies, a putt-putt golf course, a large play complex for the kids and opportunities to do arts and crafts activities. Halloween is every weekend in the month of October and features two haunted houses (one for little kids and one for adults and older kids), a haunted woods attraction, trick or treating at the RV’s and cabins and tons of other activities.
