Thoughts:
Creekfire Motor Ranch is a resort. There are tons of activities and amenities available. Some do have additional fees (renting kayaks, golf carts, bicycles, pool cabanas and others). Others require reservations, but have no fees (Lawn Chess, ping pong, tennis courts and others). There’s is also a large playground and pool area. The park also has a large lake.
Check-in was easy and efficient. There is parking for several RV’s in front of the office. We were escorted to our site. The escort did a great job of letting us know in advance what turns we would be making and making sure we were all set before he left.
We stayed in site 96. It included a long concrete pad and waterfront view. The park is very clean and well maintained. Trash is picked up at your site twice a day. All of the employees that we encountered were friendly and helpful.
The layout allows for plenty of room for people and pets to walk, including a trail around the lake. During our visit the park was reasonably full, but we never felt crowded. This would be very beneficial in the warmer months when I am sure the park can get very full.
There is a bath house and laundry room on-site and propane refills are available. In the office building, there are a few grocery items including the makings for S’Mores if you forgot anything.
There are some longer term RVers staying in the park, but all of the sites are kept neat and clean.
All of the amenities and conveniences do come at a price. Site fees are higher than a typical RV Park and there is a $5 per day Resort Fee. We knew all of these things going in and since we would be staying several days and the location was very convenient to our planned activities in Savannah, we didn’t mind the additional cost.
NOTES:
If you decide to refill propane, we recommend driving by the building where the propane is located. You will need to pull in from the direction that puts your connection on the side of the tank. The refill hose is short. It is rather tight around the building, so we decided to hook our car up in front of the office afterwards.
You also need to go to the office to let them know that you would like propane before checking out.
