When we were shopping for our coach, cup holders in the dining table and side tables were high on our list of priorities. Cup holders in the dining table make it possible for the kids to sit at the table and have lunch of a snack without the fear of their drink sliding off the table and falling over. The coach we purchased didn’t have cup holders, so we began to look for cup holders to add.
During our search, we looked at Amazon and found these Stainless Steel Cup Holder. They are made for marine applications, so they do have a small drain hole in the bottom. We applied a small amount of silicone to the hole to keep any liquid that might be in the bottom from dripping through to the floor.
To install the cup holders, first locate exact place that you would like to have the it. For the cup holders linked above, use a 3-5/8 inch hole saw attached to your drill to cut the hole. Be sure to hold your drill straight up and down to keep the hole straight. Once the drill has cut the hole through the table or counter, carefully remove the hole saw from the hole and the wood from the hole saw. The hole saw will be hot when you first cut through.
Drop the cup holder into the hole and you are done! The cup holder will fit snugly. The cup holder can be removed from the bottom if you ever need to remove it to clean or replace it.
